The Mexican desert is hot as hell…and things are only going to get worse.
FIVE Cups from Coffee Time Romance!
Sara Stark is on a mission from hell. Everything that can go wrong seems to. What starts out as a simple retrieval job turns into a nightmare that has her barely escaping with her life. The situation only grows worse when she discovers what she brings back is a key that sends her emotions careening back to the most painful time in her life.
Drake Knight, Sara’s employer and the son of the man who took Sara in when she was a young teen, is set to take over Knight Inc and let his father retire. Having sent Sara off to acquire a medallion, a domino effect the likes of which no one ever bargained for is triggered. Ghosts of the past rise and stir troubles that put not only Sara’s life in danger but his father’s as well.
Together they plunge into a world of chaos complete with Machiavellian scheming, political power trips, betrayals of the worst kind, and a rescue attempt both Sara and Drake know they may not make it back from. It does not help when desirous feelings they have felt for each other take the time to rear up at the most inconvenient of times.
Move over Lara Croft and Kurt Austin Sara and Drake have moved in. This book is a non stop wild ride packed with action, adventure, and a little steam thrown in for good measure. Sara is fearless and determined, more than willing to kick butt and take names. Drake is sexy and charming and her equal in every way. When you finish this story, you might just find yourself sitting back and saying ‘wow!’. Add this one to your must read list. You will not be disappointed.

Romance Junkies gives Stark Knight 4 Blue Ribbons!
Sara Stark is a recovery expert for Knight, Inc., a company that specializes in recovery and acquisition. Her latest job in Mexico nearly cost her life, but she got out with the client’s medallion. Her boss might not be so lucky when Sara learns the client was Victor Acosta, the terrorist responsible for her father’s death.
Colonel Bruce Knight convinces Sara that recovering the medallion is essential to finding out just what Acosta is up to. Drake Knight, the Colonel’s son, and Sara team up to stop a madman. They begin their mission undercover in Panama, where the weather isn’t the only thing that turns steamy as Sara and Drake are confronted with feelings that both have tried to deny.
When Acosta kidnaps the Colonel, the mission turns even more personal. Can Drake and Sara win in a race against time to stop Acosta and rescue a man they both love?
Sara Stark is my kind of heroine, a woman with a kick butt attitude and a sassy mouth. Her insecurities in her more feminine side are one of the things that keep her realistic. The reader is taken along for the ride as Sara grapples to handle all the punches thrown her way. Drake Knight has thought of Sara as a little sister for years. Now he begins to see her in a new light. This character's struggle with the possible consequences of a love affair with Sara and the love he has for his father make him more than your average one-dimensional action hero.
From an action-packed beginning to a bite-your-nails ending, this book is one heck of a roller coaster ride. The storyline kept my eyes riveted to the pages until the last word was read. Sara and Drake are a delight as they fall in love. Their relationship progresses at a believable pace and the heat between them could burn you from a mile away. The supporting characters are interesting and add a lot of detail to the story, giving it a sense of direction.
J. R. Turner delivers a very intriguing story with the possibility for a great new series. If you like fast-paced action and engaging characters with your romance then STARK KNIGHT is just the book for you.

Diana Castilleja Blogs about Stark Knight!
Stark Knight is an adventure. I knew by page 2 it was going to be a good read. How many books open with the main character hanging by her nails to the edge of a cliff?
Sara Stark is a strong independent character with a lot of moxy. There aren't many men who could be her equal, much less want to be. Drake is, however, that man. Their developing relationship is a a great story within the plot.
The plot.... well, that's something else altogether. Had me until the very end questioning who was the good guy/bad guy, the how's, and oh my, the way out of it! Loved the way they stayed at each other's back throughout. Great teamwork.
This is a book that breaks out of the norm, as far as a romance goes. It is adventure first, the romance laced throughout but not the singular goal. For the ending, I believe this added weight to the meaning of their final kiss, that last heaved sigh of happily ever ever, not just for the characters, but for the future they both want and how they plan to achieve it.
Great read!
Enjoy!

Stark Knight by J. R. Turner
As Stark Knight opens, we join an acquisition and recovery detail in progress. Sara Stark, recovery expert, is in the midst of retrieving a medallion for one of Knight, Inc’s clients. Knight, Inc. is owned by Bruce Knight, the man who took her in and raised her after the death of her parents. Knight’s son, Drake, whom Sara has long regarded as an older brother, has apparently graduated from that status to one of major hunk; for Drake’s part, he cannot believe the little girl he regarded as his sister for so long has grown into such a beautiful woman. He and Sara dance around their growing feelings for each other upon her return. But romance is only one small part of the action-packed plot.
When Sara finds out Victor Acosta is the client she risked her life for, her temper flares out of control, because Victor Acosta is the same man who murdered her father. The necessity for the deed is explained by Bruce Knight, a/k/a the Colonel, and Stark and Knight draw the assignment of finding out the hidden secret of the recovered medallion. To do this, Stark and Knight go undercover in sultry Panama, where Stark pulls out all the glamour stops to get at Dr. Juan Salva’s computer. A close encounter with a bullet forces them to confront feelings they didn’t want to face. And later, when Drake’s father is kidnapped, the mission becomes personal to both of them.
Stark and Knight encounter mistrust and betrayal along the way as they race to stop a madman and recover the Colonel before time runs out. Romance and action combine to make Stark Knight a page-turner and a must-read for all action-adventure fans!

Stark Knight by J. R. Turner
If you are looking for action adventure with a healthy dose of romance, Stark Knight is right up your alley.
The story revolves around Sara Stark, who was adopted by the Knight family and later trained in their family’s Intelligence Operations Enterprise. The family contracts with the U.S. government for undercover special operations. Sara, who changed her name to Stark Knight after the adoption, is one of their best agents. She is highly intelligent; physically fit, immensely dedicated to her work, yet finds herself unnervingly attracted to Drake Knight.
Drake Knight is the son of Bruce Knight, founder of Knight Enterprises, Inc. Highly educated and well-traveled, he has returned to take over the company so his father can retire. Upon his return, Drake senses his own attraction to Stark, and like she, tries to deny it.
Recently Stark has returned from an assignment in Mexico where she recovered what seemed to be an unimportant, yet heavily guarded, medallion. This leads to Stark and Drake going undercover into the incessantly rich to obtain computer files. As they get close to the truth, Bruce Knight is kidnapped and held ransom for the medallion. The always dedicated Drake and Stark are driven beyond patriotism to save the United States as they solve the plot, but they must join together to save the man so important to both of them.
Stark Knight is a fast paced, action packed story that moves quickly. If you like your adventure blended with passion driven tension and heat, this is a story you’ll love.

Stark Knight by J. R. Turner takes the reader on a journey to retrieve a medallion that looks, for all intents and purposes, to be nothing more than a trinket for a private collector's gallery. However this medallion could be the key that changes how the world works as we know it.
Sara Stark, orphaned when her father is murdered has been shuttled around from one foster home to another. She is finally rescued by her father's best friend at the age of twelve. Feeling all alone in a very dangerous world, Sara has put walls up around her heart, promising herself that she will never love again. To love means to lose everything that she holds dear.
Sara learns the Stark family business and by the time she is in her early twenties she has learned how to aquire treasurers and artifacts that other people would find impossible to locate. Sara Stark is a combination of Indianna Jones and Lara Croft. She is physically strong, intelligent and terrified to be vulnerable in matters concerning the heart.
Drake Knight - Strong, determined to succeed in the family business and trying to keep his feelings for Sara buried deep within the walls that he has built to keep himself from pain. After the tragic death of his mother to cancer, Drake is afraid to love someone else for the fear that she will leave him, as his mother did. Drake begins to see that time is causing great stress on his father, age has begun creeping up on him. Drake dives into his work to start the take over process of Stark Inc, the family business.
This action packed novel keeps the reader interested and waiting for more. The plot thickens as the conspiracies and government involvement unfold with each turn of the page. The explosive culmination of plots and romance come to a gripping conclusion that leave the reader waiting for the next novel with bated breath.
